Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 of the 7 of December 1973 to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. He finished his secondary and primary studies at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State, Nigeria. There he earned an BSc.

YFC quickly grew and became the largest campus fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
